Didactics / Affectivity
Affectivity is a fundamental component of every person's life, manifested through emotions, feelings and moods. Educating for affectivity means helping children to know and manage their own emotions and those of others, to develop their own identity and to relate to the world around them. Affectivity toys are valuable tools for fostering the development of emotional intelligence in children, stimulating their imagination, creativity and socialization. Affectivity toys differ in type and purpose, but they have in common that they are based on symbolic play, that is, the ability to represent reality through objects, words and gestures. Affectivity toys most suitable for school-age children include: playsets, markets and foods, animals, constructions, dolls, vehicles and tracks, dens and the shelters.
