The text includes a theatrical animation script ("In Search... of Lost Energy"), songs and proposals for educational activities designed to help children become aware that the environment around them is a valuable asset, for whose preservation their cooperation is also important. The book is developed around the play script whose main characters are: a group of children actively engaged in recycling collection, anthropomorphic recyclables, and friendly aliens in search of, precisely, lost energy. In addition to the story and jokes, there are directions for movement and interaction between the characters, but most importantly, directions for set design, costumes and a ballet. Finally, the book is complemented by interesting educational suggestions, including: a team game, the Recyclelandia dictionary to reinforce linguistic knowledge on the environmental theme, and activities that can stimulate creativity (such as "Invent a story").
