Barrage is a worker placement game based on water flow mechanics.
Players compete in the energy control of a territory by building majestic dams, implementing them to increase the capacity for water collection and subsequent energy production, which must then be transported and used by turbines and pipelines.
In a dystopian belle époque, the industrial revolution has pushed the consumption of fossil resources to their complete depletion. Technological development now seems doomed, but a new resource, clean and inexhaustible, rushes to mankind's aid: hydroelectric power.Each player represents one of the international companies that have provided their resources, technique and best men to bring millions of kilowatts of hydroelectric power from remote alpine regions.
Barrage includes two new and innovative game mechanics. The construction wheel, on which players will have to work to build, and water drops, which will have to be intercepted with dams.
