Nadja was born in 1955 in Alexandria, Egypt to a Russian mother, a painter, and a Lebanese father, a doctor. Her childhood is lived between France and Lebanon, between correspondence studies and stories told and illustrated by her mother, Olga Lecaye. In 1989, with The Blue Dog, he won the "Totem" prize of the Montreuil Children's Book Fair. Other picture books followed in an innovative impressionist style. She also enjoys writing and illustrating books four-handedly, with her brother Grégoire Solotareff. She lives in Paris where she divides her time between painting and book illustration.
